This piece was inspired by a trip to Pisa, Italy where vertigo reigns supreme.
The building is built of wooden bricks and leans to the left about twelve degrees. Glued to one side are approximately 150 tacks which have been painted red and are arranged in diagonal lateral stripes. Inside is a fully clothed man waist deep in water. He struggles against the current while the ocean appears to tilt with the building. In the background, a trianular rock formation rises from the waters surface. The stereo viewer, located in the rear, contains the image of a vapor trail at a seemingly impossible angle.
