Constructed out of plywood with a faux concrete finish, this piece was inspired by a trip to Germany and Berlin in particular. The building itself bears an intended resemblance to the guard tower at the entrance to Auschwitz. The interior contains a black Mercedes bursting forward from a wall of flames. The car is driven by a disembodied hand and the license plate reads "mietwagon" (translated means "rental car"). Standing to the left is a girl with braided blonde hair wearing a dirndl. In the two front windows are images of a swastika and a hammer & sickle refering to Berlins troubled past. There is a carousel on the roof with images of wild boars with swastika brands on their rumps running through the countryside. On one side of the building is a painting of a sad bratwurst symbolizing all the bad food I had to eat. The 3D viewer contains the image of the remains of a concrete drain which is situated in a building that was used to execute prisoners in a concentration camp located outside of Berlin.
